"No problem," I said. And for the first time I meant it. "How's the new job?"

"I love video games, but too many of the people who make them are assholes. This company is pleasantly not filled with douche-bros, so that helps."

I laughed.

"How about you, Soo?" I asked. "Still the best barista in Montreal?"
