As he promised Rose when she came to the apartment this morning before leaving for the office–Ford took the time to visit his girlfriend's house, intending to seek answers about the decision to apologize to Bella after not showing up at Rose's house for days.

Her parents were as friendly as ever, and Ford had never had any problems with them. Occasionally the man felt confused–about why Rose's childish character differed from her father and mother. Rose's parents were wise, but their youngest daughter was entirely out of her mind.
