I really need to steer off him, whatever it is about him that repels me from getting closer to him I can't tell.

Perhaps it could be his bluntness that pushed her off or his countenance, perhaps the odd manner which he had replied was what made me back off.

Whatever it was about him I just could not hold off and on to it,

He does not seem worried about the fact that I was irritated or bothered as a matter of fact he seemed pleased that I h ad felt that way and for some reason it irked me almost immediately.
