“I forgot to add a sippy cup to her lunchbox.” I say, waltzing across the living room to the kitchen.

“I got it.” Breonna says, rushing out of the kitchen and we almost bump into each other.

I sigh in relief. “We made it.” I reiterate as I glance at the clock on the wall.

It’s Lily’s first day at school and somehow, I had woken up too late. If Breonna hadn’t arrived at my apartment early this morning to help out, only God knows what would’ve happened.
