Four ghosts, carrying a sedan chair. What does that mean?
My first thought was that ghost king, the so-called ghost king, does not mean the king of ghosts. It's a more powerful kind of ghost that can command the rest of the ghosts. For example, Party A's ghost is stronger than Party B's ghost, so that Party B's ghost obeys his orders, that party A's ghost can already be called ghost king.
No matter how many ghosts there are, as few as one and as many as 100,000, they are all unified as ghost kings, just a name that Taoists use to distinguish conveniently.
