Less than five minutes later, Levi pulls into the parking lot at the hospital. He takes off his seatbelt, then turns in his seat to me. "You ready?"

I nod. "I am. Are you ready?"

A smile stretches across his lips so wide, he looks like a kid on Christmas morning. And I find myself smiling too.

It's not even my first time here, or my first ultrasound, but I'm still as excited as he is. I'm basically just excited because he's excited.

I'm glad I asked him, and I'm glad he agreed to come along.

"I'm fucking ready, hun. I can't wait to see what our baby looks like...
