I turn just in time to see Levi enter the kitchen. He sees us at the table and stops, only inches away.
His hand goes to the back of his neck, and he looks uncomfortable. "I'm stepping out."
"Where are you going?" I ask, taking in his outfit of a black tank top and the same color of joggers.
"For a run."
My brows shoot up.
I didn't know Levi did morning runs. Is it a new thing, or had I just failed to notice?
"Won't you have breakfast or coffee first?" Martha asks quietly, like she's afraid the question might annoy him.
My heart breaks for her.
