He got home late in the night. He entered the house to see Carrie sitting in the living room, pressing her phone. 

"Aiden, you're back." She stood up to hug him as he walked towards her.

Aiden just stood without wrapping his arms around her. He pushed her back gently. "It's late. You should be in bed already."

"I was waiting for you. Change first and come back downstairs to have dinner."

He stopped in his tracks. There was only one person that do wait for him to have dinner, no matter how late he was, and he didn't even eat it often. 

Everything happening to him kept reminding him...
