Luca walked over to the liquor cabinet and poured himself another drink before walking back and sinking into the leather chair in which he had been seated for over an hour. He sat there silently for a second, appreciating the burn as the brandy coursed down his throat, he wasn’t trying to get drunk, he just needed alcohol in his system to help alleviate the tightening in his heart that was caused by the thought of what happened that changed his life forever, his phone buzzed signaling an incoming message, it rang earlier but he had been too troubled to pick up.
