"Young lady, when will your parents be back?" Pa Patrick asked as they ate.

Nina didn't need someone to tell her he that was talking to her before she knew.

"Uhm..the thing is..." She stammered, trying to cook up a lie. "They won't be back anytime soon!" Gianna cut in, helping her out.

He glared at Gia...giving her the look 'I wasn't asking you.'

Gianna let out an awkward smile.."Well, I just finished speaking with them." She lied again.

"Thanks sissy." Nina mouthed inaudibly without the old couple noticing.
