I place the food on the dinning table and walk into the living room, Roy isn’t there.

 

“Royale?”

 

No response.

 

This boy, I told him to be in the living room before I get his food ready. I drop his lunchbox on the table and head upstairs.

 

Maybe he’s still in our room looking for his power rangers wrist watch.

 

“Royale!” I called as I approach our room but I didn’t hear his response.

 

At that moment, I hear his voice coming from….. Selene’s room?.

 

What in God’s name is he doing in there?

 

I move closer to listen to him.

 

“Don’t cry Carissa, your mummy will come back”...
