“Smile, Miriam. Today is a happy day for you,” Sara said as we walked hand in hand to the bakery.
We had just gotten back from the hospital and the doctor had given us the genders of the babies in an envelope. I had requested that it be kept a secret for the baby shower and gender reveal party tomorrow.
“Well, technically, the party is tomorrow so…”
“Yeah yeah but we’re still going to have our own celebration at home after we drop the envelope off.”
“Okay but won’t it be boring. I don’t want to stay at home.”
