Eight days until the full moon.

I could feel the change in Aurelius. The way his eyes tracked me constantly now, gold bleeding through brown even in casual moments. The way he stood closer than strictly necessary when we were in the same room. The way his hands would clench and unclench like he was fighting the urge to reach for me.

He was unraveling, and I was the one pulling the threads.
