I was lying down on my bed when I felt a sharp pain run across my heart. Kael was doing something to Vanessa. I can feel it. I sprang up and gulped down a bottle of water to ease the scorching. It was all my fault, I shouldn't have let her go when I was supposed to be there and let her explain.

Thinking of it, now I understand why Vanessa was hesitant when I began going close to her. She was avoiding me then because she knew a human and a werewolf have nothing in common with each other. I pushed her into something she didn't understand...
