She stands in the middle of the hallway watching as her mother walks away with her sister, she turns on her heels to go talk to her father, when she sees her father-in-law also entering the office. She advances until she hears the voices, and realizes they are talking about someone she doesn't know, but apparently it's a matter involving the three of them.
