"Mom, I already have a girlfriend."

I was dumbfounded at atlas as it looked at me seriously.

"What is it again?" I asked even though I clearly heard what he said.

"I have a girlfriend."

I rubbed my forehead and looked at the blunder who was smiling at the dog as he watched the child. I took a deep breath before squeezing the slightly bulging cheek of the toddler.
