One week later…

“Yeah I really am.” Ashley says smiling at me. The smile I so much missed. That brings me joy and tells me there is still hope.

“Are you still feeling pain?”

“Yeah just a bit on my thigh and I have headache.”

“Okay let me go get you painkillers and water.” I stood up from the chair. “I will be right back.” I quickly kissed her on the lips which she wasn’t expecting. Her cheeks turn bright red. So cute.

“Okay and be fast I want to talk to you.” She said sounding curious.
