The doctor was shaking uncontrollably as he started frantically scrolling through his tablet. Cold sweat poured down his face, dripping onto the screen as his fingers fumbled.

In just a few minutes, the three doctors who had been treating Ellie came rushing into the room like their lives depended on it. The atmosphere was thick and suffocating,  heavy silence mixed with fear. They were all breathing hard, faces pale, eyes wide with terror. None of them dared to look Ryder in the eye. They kept their heads bowed low, shoulders hunched, like they were standing in front of a predator.
