I had purposely ignored him last night, even though my heart melted the second I saw those beautiful red roses. I wasn’t really angry with him — not deep down. I was just hurt that he had kept Samantha a secret from me for so long, especially after the way he completely ignored her in front of me. Still, when he brought me flowers and apologized so sweetly, I couldn’t stay mad. I just wanted to throw a little tantrum. I knew he’d see right through it… and that he knew I’d eventually succumb.
