A few minutes later, as we were walking down the street looking for a place to eat lunch, my phone buzzed. Eric had sent me the picture. All three of them actually. I handed the phone to Amanda, careful to make sure the kids didn't see it. She audibly gasped when she realized what she was looking at. When she got to the last one, the one by the lake, she paused, no doubt admiring its beauty and audaciousness. She looked at me and mouthed, "were these all today?" I nodded. She mouthed "wow." Before she gave me back the phone, she looked at each picture again.
