Melanie stood at a spot, her eyes locked onto Amanda's. She gripped the bag she was holding tightly, her tongue glued to the roof of her mouth as she watched the expression on Amanda face change from surprise to disgust.
“Goodbye, Charlotte!” Amanda said as she spun around to leave. Before she could call for a taxi, Melanie scurried towards her and held her hand, her face filled with longing.
“Amanda. I know you're still mad at me but please, forgive me. I'm dying inside every single day.” Melanie mumbled, swallowing hard.
