Carl traces a finger over Amanda’s lips and leans in, so close that she could feel his breath against her mouth. Her heart pounded rapidly against her ribcage as his emerald eyes hovered over her features. A fiery spark ignited between them. Amanda’s lips remained sealed, and she shut her eyes as he brought his face closer to her–an inch apart.
