Third POV

Helen stood at the hidden part of the hall, as she looked at her kid playing with a ball with his dad, Max.

She was taken aback by how joyful Max appeared while playing with Enzo. A smile crept onto her face as she stood there, uncertain of how he would react if he noticed her presence.

He had seen her the day before and had chosen to ignore her. She believed he might hate her or simply didn’t want to speak, which frightened her. She didn’t want to disrupt his peace, fearing he might take Enzo away from the mansion, and she might never see him again....
