Hate is a weak term to describe the intense feelings Vespera harbored for her sister.

“We have been driven out of everything we have ever known. Silvio has cast us aside and taken every single fortune we ever possessed. Max, this is our only option,” Vespera snapped at her husband, who sat there with his head buried in his hands.

For days, ever since the incident at the hospital, he had been feeling low and keeping a low profile in one of the houses owned by his father-in-law, Tate Turner. Vespera had been venting her frustrations at everything and everyone around her.
