Joe nodded at her. "Of course."

"Can it be you?" she mumbled, not fully expecting that he would hear her.

The atmosphere froze as the cab turned incredibly quiet. Joe had initially thought he misheard her, but the look in her eyes told him all he needed to know. Instead of brushing it off, the two stared at each other's misty eyes, unaware of how much their breathing turned erratic.

"Say something....."

He couldn't.

"Did I cross the line...?" she teased with a hint of playful whining in her voice — which instantly drove him crazy.

"No. I overreacted. You meant it as a joke, right?"...
