I grabbed the demon by the elbow and looked around for someplace private. The entire penthouse was occupied and besides the restroom there was no privacy to be found. I moved over to the elevator and checked my watch. Instead of looking forward to midnight it had become a countdown to disaster. The elevator opened and there was sis and her cowboy.

"You're not leaving," sis asked and I shook my head.

"We just need some air," I said. "We'll be back in just a few minutes."

"Okay, I want you there at midnight," Lily said.

"I promise, I'll be there," I said.
