"Get rid of me!" Carly repeated in a louder tone and wider eyes, which made Alessandro smile at her.

"It's definitely not what you think." Alessandro said sternly.

"Then what is it?"

"You're just the perfect person for this."

"How am I the perfect person?" Carly asked with curiosity written all over her face.

Alessandro leaned forward,

"You desperately need your freedom and won't hesitate to leave me alone without any form of drama once the contract is overdue." Alessandro explained as he poured more wine into his cup and Carly's.

Seeing that Carly was still staring at him confused, he added, "What I'm trying to say...
