I stirred awake to the sound of my phone ringing. I grabbed it from the nightstand and answered.

Incoming Call

Sammy - Hello?

Mom - Hi, sweetheart. Did I wake you up?

Sammy - No, Mom, I was just about to get up. What's up?

Mom - I wanted to let you know that I'm throwing you a baby shower today.

Sammy - Alright, Mom. I'll grab breakfast and head over to your place. And, by the way, I have a surprise for you.

Mom - Okay, dear. I can't wait to see you.

I ended the call and nudged Andrés awake.
