I looked at her, feeling a connection that I couldn't quite explain. "Who are you?" I asked again, curiosity overcoming my initial wariness. Trusting myself was important, Alpha Xavier may not believe me if I run to him to inform of Dyelin and Marita's betrayal.

"My name is Eira," she said simply. "I often come here to find peace, much like you today."

"I'm grateful for your help, Eira," I said sincerely. "You’ve given me a lot to think about."

She smiled, her eyes twinkling with a hint of mystery. "Remember, Isabel, you are stronger than you think. Trust yourself."
