Selene zipped her last suitcase and turned dramatically, flipping her hair over her shoulder as she faced Damian.
“Babe, I’m going to miss you,” she said, pouting like she expected him to melt.
Damian chuckled, walking toward her with that relaxed confidence he always carried.
“Miss me? Don’t worry,” he said, sliding his arms around her waist, pulling her closer. “I’ll call you every night. You know that.”
Selene traced her finger along his collar, faking a shy smile.
“I don’t know… you’re acting like you won’t even notice I’m gone.”
