The familiar sight of Zade's compound gates should have brought some measure of relief to me and loosen up some dread settled up in my stomach but all I felt was a hollow ache in my chest as our convoy of three SUVs pulled up to the security checkpoint, before we were cleared to drive in.

I could see the security details, all over the place,tightened as construction and cleaning took place, reminding me of the mini war that had taken Alpha Zade and my family by surprise but thankfully they were able to contain.
