My jaw tightened until my teeth ground together. I stared down at her face still stained with tears and defiance. Defiance so strong that it provoked something inside me.

"No," I growled, stepping so close to her that she had to tilt her head back to look at me. "No matter how many times you push for this, I’ll not let you have your way this time. I am not taking you into a warzone! I am not going to watch you get captured by Greenwood's men because you refuse to think!"
