I stood, waiting patiently for something different to roll out of Malakai's lips.
His jaw worked, a dangerous vein pulsing against his temple. He looked at me as if he wanted to tear the world apart just to silence the sound of my voice. “Get out,” he whispered, the words vibrating with frequency. “Get out of my room if you are incapable of speaking like a sane person.
