I opened my eyes to see pair of worry filled ones. I gazed at everyone — my sister, mom, Sienna and Ryker.

"God, you're awake!" Mom rushed to my side, kissing my cheek.

I frowned, wondering what had happened. All I remember was having a conversation with Reyna, how did I get here?

"You fainted after the energy transfusion, Adeline." Reyna mentioned, her tone etched with nervousness. "Are you okay now?"

"Good Lord, Adeline. I was almost scared to death." Sienna held her chest, sighing in relief.

Ryker was the only one who wasn't saying anything and I noticed the tension between her and Reyna.
