Milena was exhausted, her fingers aching and her head throbbing with a splitting headache. Her eyes felt heavy, and all she missed was the comfort of the bed in the room she was confined in.

Rosa had taught her many things: how the clan works and how to polish her skills.

Milena noticed the others didn’t seem pleased to see her. They stared at her with weariness and skepticism.

Rosa mentioned she would get used to meeting them, and they were just worried that Milena might, perhaps, hurt the family.
