We packed a backpack with some lunch and some bottles of water, as well as our camera. We agreed to take turns in carrying the back and set off.

Following Ed's map we soon turned off the main path and began to climb a narrow steep path. After a while the path widened out, working its way through a pine forest. We passed one couple, middle aged, who were coming down but no one else.

We stopped regularly for rest and water. As we walked we separated slightly. Ben the athletic one had no problem maintaining a steady pace. Luke fell a bit further behind then I dragged along last....
