A word about love addiction: in the early stages of a relationship, infatuation often occurs. You have sex frequently and have to see each other daily, minute by minute, hour by hour - just like Romeo and Juliet. Then it all calms down over the coming weeks or months and normal living is resumed. This may or may not turn into real love over a period of time, or maybe one person's feelings fade and the other person feels spurned. Then the rejected party lapses into a state of limerence, which is obsessive, unrequited love and often leads to depression.
