This is a most awkward situation.

"How is the conference going?" I asked, a small smile on my lips. Winston's laugh filled my ear and made me belly flutter.

"Darling, I only just landed."

My cheeks turned pink. "Oh, I'm sorry." I said with a nervous laugh. I turned to the living room where the kids were engrossed in the cartoon show on the TV. My eyes met with Dante's and I quickly turned away. "It's all good here."
