Faye got ready by 7 p.m. to meet Hunter, Phillip’s elder brother. She stepped out into the evening air, her hands cold. On her way, she called him.
“Hello, Hunter. My phone battery is low,” she said. “Please tell me what you’re wearing so I can recognize you when I get there.”
