"Cut me some slack, Claire!" Olivia exaggeratedly mimicked Kitty's tone as we walked down the hallway to the guest rooms.

"'My father is Garfield Evans, the Alpha of the Black Mountain Pack, not the Prince Louis'—like I'm some sort of idiot! 'I feel sorry because I didn't inherit my father's eyes' She totally inherited that proud Evans family face!"

"Don't say that, Olivia," I reassured my frustrated friend. "Kitty's just a little girl."

"Well, she's an Evans little girl."

Olivia pushed open the door to the guest room and turned to me, shrugging. "Don't be fooled by the name. Black Mountain Pack's pups aren't cuddly kittens."
