Abby's POV

　　Just then, the truth of Jason's words dawns on everyone. The warrior who is still struggling to get out of my hold freezes at Jason's declaration.

　　"She can't be your mate, Alpha." The man whimpers. Jason sends him a pointed look, not letting go of Ellie. He walks, with Ellie in his arms, to where I'm still holding the warrior down. Ellie finally seems to come out of her daze and tries to get down. Jason lets her, but keeps her tight to his side.
