My hands are on my flexed knees, and my back is resting against the foot of the bed. Chelsea is beside me, hugging one of my arms, with her head on my shoulder, and my bedroom is currently as silent as a graveyard.

I have remained silent for almost an hour now, and she has said nothing or made no attempt to leave me. I have never spoken to anyone about this. Not to anyone but my therapist. And I could only endure the therapy for two years, after which, I stopped going. It just wasn't working for me
