I don't think I'm ready to be engaged.

"Hm, I do intend to marry you, Sophia."

My mother also answered because maybe she knew that I was running out of words. "It's enough. I think I really appreciate your good intentions towards Sophia. But I don't think Sophia is ready for that. So maybe you just have a relationship so you can get to know each other. And you can play at our house."

“Yes, thank you, ma'am. I'm very happy to meet you. I will schedule a visit to your house."
