Shyla’s P.O.V.
“My child!”
With no knowledge of time and place, I was jolted awake by the worry of my son. A loud shriek rolled out of my tongue as my gaze fell at a hospital room, its white walls and ceiling sucked life from my body.
No!
Not my child!
My high-pitched screams garnered the doctor’s attention. A hurried figure flashed by my side and hugged me without any heads up.
“Relax, Shyl. You are safe.”
But I squirmed against the hold, crying my heart out.
“No! You can’t hurt my baby, Maddox.
I’ll never forgive you!”
That kind lady kept up with my panic attack, and comforted me...
