"Delilah..."

I woke up to the sound of someone calling my name. Looking around the dark room, I saw no one else was awake. Who was calling me then? Was it Lona?

"It wasn't me," Lona replied.

"Then who is it?" I whispered.

I slipped out of bed and opened the door carefully. No maids were allowed to wander the corridors near the Queen's chamber, but my curiosity got the best of me.

The guards wouldn't be around; they were probably stationed at the gates. There was no reason for them to be patrolling, not tonight--it was the king's mating night with his Queen. No one was allowed to disturb...
