Roxanne had been working her shoulders out since she resumed at the company.
One day, it was late. Too late, and the usual bustling was now quiet. Only the streetlights felt like company as she walked along the side, clutching a folder of documents on her chest.
She had been reviewing product proposals the whole day, trying to make sure everything was ahead. She was doing it so well, and gaining ground, too much for Derek's comfort.
