The vacation house had started to feel like a trap by day eight. It wasn't the way I expected it to be. Everything felt the same especially in the absence of Tara.

I’d extended the stay because going back to the pack house felt worse and more frustrating.

I decided to take up a habit for the time I was going to remain here. I drank more than I should, worked out until my muscles screamed, and avoided the mirror when I showered because I didn’t like the reflection staring back.

But that same night, I fucked up. I lost every sense of restraint I had in me...
