I got into the Gold estate through the back gate, a place that only very few people knew existed.

A man was waiting for me the second I got through the gate.

He was one of my men who had impersonated Sylas's lieutenant.

"Hello boss. Lt. Josh reporting."

"You must really enjoy doing this." I chuckled.

"I do." He smiled proudly.

"Updates?"

"Yes boss, someone informed them of your coming. So they're preparing."

I frowned when he said this. "I've got a rat now?"

"But it wasn't me." He quickly added. "I swear on my mother's life."
