Naeris' POV

Pain was the very first thing Naeris felt when the heavy cloud in her brain dissipated and she woke up. Her eyes shot open and instead of closing them shut because of the intense flood of light that penetrated her iris.

Naeris looked down and tried to push back a very loud groan. There was a very brutal and persistent throbbing pain at the pack of her skull.

That must have been where I was hit? She realized.

She let out another groan, and immediately regretted making any sort of movements. Because just that tiny movement wwas enough to make the pain flare up and increase the pain....
