When Naeris had been given the job to be a corporate spy, she had expected the executive she was supposed to be monitoring, Vera Gold, to be stupid. Not completely brainless, of course, but she should have been weak and easily predictable.
Naeris had been doing this job for years, and she knew that weak, predictable women were usually the type of women that rich assholes like Sylas Gold married.
